21 517 ticket inspections carried out in public transport in August

Statistics of „Rīgas satiksme” about ticket inspections carried out in August 2019:

Number of fare dodgers fined in public transport:
Trams	360
Trolleybuses	789
Buses	1302
Total:	2451
including:
Fine receipts	833
Fine invoices	1618

This is by 467 fare dodgers more than in July 2019, when 2918 passengers were fined for fare dodging in public transport.

Number of ticket inspections:
Trams	1868
Trolleybuses	8408
Buses	11241
Total:	21517

Just to compare: 24248 ticket inspections were carried out in July 2019, which is by 2731 more than in August 2019.

In August 2019, the maximum number of fare dodgers was fined on bus route No. 3 (220), whereas nobody was fined on bus routes No. 57, 59, and trolleybus route No. 1.
